During Sephora’s recent sale, I stocked up on some old and now new favorites. I have always been into a more natural makeup look, but have been eager to find some new products to help hide some of the telltale “mom of small kids” dark circles that I have, while still keeping an easy, everyday look.
These are my best makeup products I’ve found – from foundation, to blush, lipstick – that help achieve a natural, everyday look.

This foundation is liquid gold. I have previously not been a huge fan of liquid foundation — it always felt too cakey and never looked natural on me. This Giorgio Armani foundation completely changed my mind. It makes you look flawless, yet as though you don’t have makeup on. Hands down my favorite beauty product that I own right now. I wear color 8.5.
Runner Up: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
This is another great coverage liquid foundation. It is a little heavier than the Armani, so less is more with this one. Still, it blends well and looks smooth and silky on.
Favorite: Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer
This concealer gets rave reviews and I finally gave it a try (more details on my favorite things list here), and it is really worth all of the hype good. It blends so incredibly well and really covers those dark circles. The perfect tired mom concealer.
Runner Up: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
This NARS concealer is incredibly good at covering dark circles as well, and it’s really affordable. It’s slightly less creamy, so it doesn’t blend quite as easily as the tarte concealer, but it’s still really really good. They have a ton of different shades, which means there’s something for everyone. I wear the color “Walnut,” and it’s a perfect match for my skin tone (go a shade or so lighter than your foundation).
Favorite: MAC Powder Blush
The MAC Powder Blush in “Plum Foolery” has been my favorite blush for several years. It’s soft yet noticeable, giving the perfect bit of rosiness. My favorite for everyday wear.
Runner Up: The Lip Bar Bronzer Blush Duo
I’m a newer fan of The Lip Bar’s products. They have a ton of different shades available and have lots of options for darker skin tones. Their blush/bronzer duo is super convenient, easy, and beautiful on. I alternate between this one and the MAC blush.
Best Natural Lipstick
Favorite: NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick
I love love love these pencils. They feel so smooth and creamy when you apply, and the color actually lasts on your lips. My favorite shade is “Do Me Baby – Chestnut Rose.”
Runner Up: Laura Mercier Stick Gloss
My other favorite lipstick is the Laura Mercier Stick Gloss in the color “Peony.” It’s gorgeous on — it has a slight shimmer, but is still totally appropriate for daytime, and this particular color is flattering on so many skin tones.
Best Eye Palette
Favorite: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
This eyeshadow palette is full of pinks and shimmery browns, which I love on a darker skin tone. Some of the colors are high on the shimmer, so I save those for date nights or when I want something a little extra. The reviews for the other “Naked” palettes are great, so I’m looking forward to giving those a try next!
