December Finds & Faves

December Finds & Faves

January 5, 2020

Time to round up favorite products from December! With all of the sales, Christmas shopping and gifts from this month, there’s a lot to choose from. If you don’t have complete buyers fatigue from the craziness of the holidays, or just want some ideas to save, I narrowed my list down to five favorite products that run the gamut – from clothing, to toys, to items for the home. Enjoy!

1. Favorite Gift for the Kids

VTech Train Station Playset

Vtech Train Set

My kids definitely already have more than their fair share of toys, but this one is so worth making space for (and a good excuse to donate a few older toys). The VTech Go Go Train Station is one of those toys that makes you wish you were a kid again, because ours were not nearly as cool! My parents gifted this to my son for Christmas and he is 100% obsessed with it. The train moves on its own, or you can move it yourself, it “talks, “and it comes with instructions for how to rearrange the tracks.

2. Quality Top for All Seasons

Lou & Grey Split Neck Hoodie

Lou & Grey Hoodie

Lou and Grey is one of my favorite brands, because they always have the softest fabrics. I’d been eyeing this hoodie for awhile and grabbed it during a sale. It was well worth the wait! It’s lightweight enough to wear in the fall or spring, or you can add a t-shirt, tank, or thermal underneath to make it warmer for winter. Great quality, as expected with Lou & Grey!

3. Best Travel Stroller

Summer Infant 3DLite

If you’re in need of a lightweight umbrella stroller, the Summer Infant 3D Lite is a fantastic option. We have an Uppababy double stroller for everyday use that is amazing, but needed an inexpensive stroller for airplane travel. I snagged this one off of Amazon and it is one of my most favorite purchases of the year.

We traveled with this over the holidays, and it stood up well to the bumps and abuse of the airlines. It also has a ton of great features, especially when you consider the price; the basket is large, it comes with a simple, but super useful cup holder, and has good padding, so you don’t feel like you’re putting your kid in a metal chair. I love this stroller so much that I’m fairly certain we’ll be buying a second for our daughter to use when we travel.

4. Perfect Date Night Top

Shimmer Pleated Cami

Another Loft find on the list today! This top is perfect for date night, and it has a very flattering, looser fit. If we were still partiers on New Year’s, I would have worn this top! It’s one of those that just makes you feel good.

5. For When You’re on a New Year Organization Kick

The Home Edit Divided Bins

If you’re looking to organize your pantry – though these would work for a closet or bathroom as well – these bins from The Container Store are fantastic. Great quality and perfect for organizing a hot mess. Instead of keeping a bunch of bulky cardboard boxes, I was able to put all of our kids’ snacks into these bins. Victory!

Bonus: these come in several sizes and are stackable.
