Mother’s Day is coming up on us quickly, and it can always be hard to shop for people, so I wanted to put together a list of gifts for stay at home moms – though I think these are items any mom would love – especially since we’re all stay at home moms right now!
By the way, anyone else see the meme saying “we’ll be out of quarantine just in time for father’s day?” It makes me chuckle every time.
Ok, on to this year’s favorite mother’s day gift ideas. These are all great items if you’re shopping for someone, or if you’re looking for ideas for yourself. And as always, many of these are items I personally own and love, but if not, they come highly recommended.

1. At-Home Spa Kit
We all need to relax – especially these days – so what better day to do that than with an at-home spa kit?
Where do you get one? Check your local nail salons to see if they’re offering at home manicure/pedicure kits, grab a pre-made kit, or make your own! Grab a basket, her favorite bath products or these calming bath bombs, some essential oils and a diffuser, a bottle of her favorite wine or champagne (or both?!), and let her relax.
2. Candles
Great to accompany the at-home spa kit, but I also just love the smell of a good candle in the house. It makes it that much more pleasant to be home.
These are my favorites, and these candles from Nordstrom are really popular and get great reviews.
3. Alone Time
This is big. Stay at home moms – which is basically every mom right now – very rarely get time to themselves. It is so hard to be constantly on deck for your kids, so one of the best gifts, is alone time.
Let her know you’ve got the kids covered, and she’s free to do whatever she wants — alone. Nails done? Check. (Buy her a gift card to a local salon!) Root touchup? Coffee with the girls? Sure. Just give her a full day (or a few hours) to herself.
BONUS: If you want to have a range of ideas for alone/me time for mom, these printable coupons are a cute option that let her pick what she wants.
4. Gift Cards
A gift card to their favorite store is always a welcome gift. Let her splurge without any mom guilt.
If you don’t know which store to choose, just go with Target — you can’t go wrong with Target!
5. Custom Mom Necklace
There are tons of really beautiful custom necklace designs out there that you can make personalized to the mom in your life. I have this necklace with my kids’ initials, and love it.
This is another style from Etsy that gets great reviews.
6. Zella High Waist Leggings
I’ve tried more than my fair share of leggings, and these Zella leggings are some of the best fitting leggings I own. They’re also not too casual, and not too dressy, making them perfect for our current stay at home life, but also great for everyday normal life too.
7. Barefoot Dreams Cardigan
I own two of these cardigans and they are so comfortable for around the house or when you’re running errands. They are not cheap, but are well worth it for quality, and for the amount of use you can get out of these.
8. Slippers
Every mom needs a comfortable pair of slippers. I love these, because of how soft, comfortable, and affordable they are. Size up one.
These herbal warming slippers also look amazing and super cozy if you’re looking for something with an extra little twist.
9. Robe
Who doesn’t need a robe when they’re a stay at home mom? If you live in a warmer climate, these are great fabric for year round wear. Also love this one, and this one.

10. Pajamas
Just in case she wants to stay in pjs all day, get her a cute pair. These Honeydew pajamas are adorable and great for summer. I also love these nightgowns on Amazon – they are super soft, comfortable, and affordable.
11. Yeti Mug
Moms, particularly stay at home moms, have basically zero time to drink their coffee or tea in the morning. This mug is a miracle worker and has kept my tea hot and comfortable to drink after an embarrassing amount of hours. Super affordable, and a must-have.
12. Coffee in Bed
And on that note, give her coffee (and breakfast) in bed. This is such a gift when your kids are up early every morning and don’t know the meaning of the phrase “coffee break.”
13. Home Sign
These home signs are something that I’ve been wanting to order for years, but just haven’t yet. This one gets great reviews and is completely customizable. Something similar are these books that are stamped with any names you would like (family members, pets, etc.). These are a cute addition to any shelf or wall unit.
14. Quay Sunglasses
Ok, I’ve been on the hunt for a good pair of sunglasses that didn’t cost $200 for quite awhile. These Quay sunglasses are so so good! If she needs sunglasses, these are a good, quality go-to that won’t break the bank.
15. Wine Glass (And a Bottle of Wine or Champagne)
When in doubt, buy her a new wine glass and a bottle of wine. There are tons of customizable wine tumbler options, and I love this one. There’s also an option to bundle it with a water tumbler and candle.
A few other fun options: Mama’s Sippy Cup, Mom Tumbler, Best Mom Tumbler, Personalized Wine Tumbler.
16. Order In
Order her favorite food and have it delivered. Easy, and always a welcome gesture!
17. Photo Book
My husband has always made albums of the places we’ve lived, and they are some of my most favorite gifts ever. So why not make her an album of the kids – your favorite trips together, random everyday photos of the “mundane,” your favorite baby pictures of the kids; these kind of memories are great for reminding you of the really really good moments that come with being a mom.
For photos and photo books, Mpix is my go-to, because their quality is amazing, and you can get $5 off your purchase.
Shutterfly is also a great option — they have good quality books and a lot of great deals.
Happy Mother’s Day!
